Hi! My name is Ryan Neufeld (jphr) and I am a 3rd/4th year Computer Science Student at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Mb. I am also currently president of the Computer Science Students Association at my Uni.
My language of choice at the moment is Ruby; something I started picking up this fall (08) and have been having a blast with. Of course, I have to thank Stef and Burke over at Isotopical for getting me interested in Ruby and Ruby on Rails at the end of the summer. These two fine gentlemen wowed me with their coding and entrepenureal skill when they told me they payed for a whole year’s school over the summer, while working full time jobs, with under a years worth of “learning” experience under their belts; I was clearly impressed.
As for my home life, I live about 150km from Winnipeg in Morden, MB with my wife during weekends and summers. During the school year I commute into Winnipeg to stay with my parents for the week to go to school at the U of Manitoba. The weeks are long away from school,
